Today was pretty okay. I kept fretting last night about 'if the house was safe', and what if a burglar got in the house.  I also watched the eleven o'clock news and saw a story about a little kid who got hit with a hard baseball during an adult game. It was a 'freak accident', but the ball hit him so hard in the chest, he died.  It was so sad.. it makes me think of my cousin Ava, who's now a year old, and hope she's okay.

So today, I went to call my friend Ms. Brenda because I hadn't talked to her since I left on vacation for a week. She told me that she couldn't really talk on the phone right then because her daughter, Carly (8 years) and her friend Brittany (also 8, I think) were in their above-ground pool and it collapsed, and these boys came and stole Carly's bike, so they were waiting for the police to arrive. She told me to call her in an hour, or I could call her. I hope Carly and Brittany are okay.
