*sigh*Today was the last day of school for St. Dominic 8th Grade. I started to cry when I looked in the science lab door-window and held the door for the other people for the last time. The last time I could walk down the halls. So many memories, all stampeding back. It really hit me in the face, too. I knew the end of the year would come, but I didn't think this soon.
I'll miss the routine. Monday: Lit, Grammar, Math, History, Recess. Same faces passing by down the hallway. The jokes, laughter, and fun times. Now that St. Dominic is closing, too, we won't be able to come back and see how the old teachers are doing. I really did learn a lot from St. Dominic, too. Besides the basic subjects such as math, grammar, and history, I learned how to be a better friend, to just be myself, and much more.
I really hope that everyone, including those below 8th grade, make many new friends at their new schools. It may take awhile getting used to it, but it'll be okay. I'll miss everyone at St. Dominic. I wish them the best of luck in the next few years. I'll remember them, the teachers, and the school.
And to quote one movie, "The Truman Show": And if I don't see you again, good morning, good afternoon, and good night!
